Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Counsel with minimum 10 years of experience in Real Estate practice to join our legal team. The role is predominantly liaisoning-focused, with a strong emphasis on coordinating with government authorities and centralising all external title search and compliance-related activities. The ideal candidate must be proactive, organised, and capable of independently managing procedural workstreams with precision and accountability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful applicant should have the ability to:

Liaise extensively with government departments, revenue authorities, municipal bodies, registrars, BL&LRO offices, and other external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of all projects.

Centralise and oversee all external title search work, including engaging and coordinating with external searchers, where required, verifying document completeness, and ensuring consistency and quality of search reports across all matters.

Handle mutation and conversion applications, follow up on status, ensure compliance with procedural requirements, and coordinate with authorities for timely issuance of updated records.

Prepare and pursue RTI applications relating to land records, registrations, and other property-related information, and ensure proper collation and analysis of responses.

Facilitate amalgamation, bifurcation, and related land record rectification processes, ensuring all applications, documents, and submissions are complete, accurate, and in the prescribed format.

Maintain comprehensive trackers, case files, and documentation for all external processes, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely follow-ups.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8 to 9 years of post- qualification experience in direct and indirect taxation, transaction structuring, and accounting, tax advisory, and financial compliance to join our multidisciplinary legal team. The position calls for a professional who can collaborate closely with our lawyers to deliver integrated tax, finance, and regulatory solutions across a wide range of practice areas, including corporate and commercial law, real estate, litigation support, regulatory compliance, succession and estate planning, and cross- border transactions. The candidate must have strong analytical and documentation skills and be proficient in accounting and tax software, online filing systems, and digital compliance platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Tax Advisory and Compliance
(i) Advise clients on direct tax and indirect tax matters, including compliance, filing,assessments, and representation before tax authorities.
(ii) Prepare and review tax computations, returns, and financial statements for individuals,partnerships, LLPs, and corporates.
(iii) Handle tax audits, GST reconciliations, and responses to departmental notices.
2. Real Estate Transaction Structuring
(i) Assist in tax structuring of property transactions, including sale, lease, transfer, and development agreements.
(ii) Advise on capital gains tax, TDS implications, stamp duty, and registration-related financial aspects.
(iii) Conducting financial due diligence and valuation assessments for real estate deals.
3. Corporate Structuring and Advisory
(i) Develop and implement tax-efficient structures for deals to optimize financial outcomes and protect value.
(ii) Perform comprehensive tax due diligence to identify potential tax liabilities and risks for both buyers and sellers.
(iii) Advise on company formations, mergers, acquisitions, conversions, and reorganizations.
(iv) Assist clients create and execute effective post-merger tax strategies.
(v) Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, FEMA, and allied financial regulations.
4. Litigation Support
(i) Collaborate in preparing documentation for tax litigation and appellate proceedings.
(ii) Provide analytical and evidentiary support in financial disputes, recovery, and compliance cases.
5. Financial Management and Reporting
(i) Oversee internal accounting, audits, and financial reporting for clients and firm projects.
(ii) Prepare financial models and projections to support legal opinions and transactional advice.
6. Client and Stakeholder Liaison
(i) Liaise with clients, auditors, tax officials, and financial institutions to ensure smooth resolution of matters.
