In this Special Issue we have analysed the adoption rights granted to same sex couples across the globe with particular focus on the current legal trends across United States, European Union and South Asia.

We have discussed that adoption rights for same-sex couples are essential for upholding principles of equality, supporting child welfare, and ensuring legal protections for families of all orientations.
